About this species

Range
Southern Sumatra, Borneo and nearby islands

Horsfield's tarsier, also called the western tarsier, is the only species of tarsier in the genus Cephalopachus. It was named by the American naturalist Thomas Horsfield and, like the other tarsiers, is entirely nocturnal (Wikipedia, general species account).

It occurs in southern Sumatra, Borneo and nearby islands. The Bornean subspecies, C. b. borneanus, is known from many lowland sites in Sabah, Brunei, Sarawak and West Kalimantan, and from above 900 m in the Kelabit uplands of northern Sarawak (Wikipedia, general species account).
