About this species
- Range

The Sikkim rat is a rodent in the mouse and rat family, with brownish upperparts and a white underside. It is found in Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. Its mitochondrial genome has been sequenced and is similar to that of other vertebrates (Wikipedia, general species account).
The sources opened for this species give little more than its colouring and range. They say nothing on size, diet, habitat or breeding, and nothing specific to Nepal, so none of those are stated. The entry is kept short on purpose rather than padded. Nationally Data Deficient (Nepal National Red List 2011).
