The black-capped fruit bat is a megabat, the only species in the genus Chironax. Its range includes Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java and Sulawesi (Payne et al. 1985, as reported on Wikipedia).
On Borneo, seven specimens were collected in lowland forest at Kubah and Lambir and beach forest at Samunsam in Sarawak; the Kubah National Park capture on 12 July 1995 was a first record for Sarawak (Abdullah et al. 1997). According to Payne et al. (1985) it was otherwise known on Borneo only from Sepilok in Sabah and Temburong in Brunei (as reported on Wikipedia).
