The trefoil horseshoe bat is a medium-sized horseshoe bat with a forearm of 47–52 mm and a weight of 10.5–18 g. It has fluffy, pale grey fur with a yellow nose-leaf and ear membranes. It is found in Brunei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand (Wikipedia, general species account).
It is caught in the understorey of primary and secondary rainforest, and is locally common up to about 1,800 m in Borneo, including mangroves. It is thought to be solitary, with animals seen roosting under exposed leaves, and its pale fur may camouflage it, since sunlight filtering through a leaf would make it look green. The cached account gives no information specific to India (Wikipedia, general species account).
