The hairless bat, also called the naked bulldog bat or greater naked bat, is a free-tailed bat (Molossidae). It is mostly hairless, but has short bristly hairs around its neck, on its front toes and around the throat sac, with fine hairs on the head and tail membrane. The genus name comes from Greek words for hand and limb, and the species name from the Latin for collar (Wikipedia, general species account).

It is a hawking insectivore, using echolocation to find insects on the wing (Wikipedia, general species account).
