The cryptic woolly bat, or flat-headed woolly bat, is a vesper bat found in southern India and Sri Lanka. It looks like Hardwicke's woolly bat but individual hairs on its body are one colour rather than two-toned, and the belly fur is slightly lighter than the back. The flight membranes lack fur, with the wing membrane attaching to the hind limb at the base of the first toe, and the tragus is long and tapers to a sharp point (Wikipedia, general species account).
Head and body length is about 41–45 mm and the forearm about 33–34.7 mm. It is found at a range of elevations, in both lowland and montane habitats. The cached account gives no diet, roost or breeding information (Wikipedia, general species account).
