The Kachin woolly bat is a species of bat found in Southeast Asia. It is a relatively large member of its genus, with a forearm of 41.3 mm, a tail of 54 mm and a weight of about 7 g. Its fur is greyish-brown, its ears are large and hairless, and the tragus is long and narrow. Its skull has a flattened appearance (Wikipedia, general species account).

It is nocturnal, roosting by day and foraging at night, and its flattened skull has led researchers to suggest that it roosts in small, constricted spaces. It was first documented in Myanmar in 2004, and its range was quickly expanded to Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand after documentation in 2006.
