Beelzebub's tube-nosed bat, also called the Beelzebub bat or demon bat, is a species of vesper bat found in the Greater Mekong region of Southeast Asia, specifically Quang Tri and Gia Lai provinces of Vietnam. It has tube-shaped nostrils, which assist with feeding. It is small enough to fit in a person's hand, weighing 5.3 to 6.0 g (Wikipedia, general species account).
Its colour pattern is a white underbelly, black head and dark back, and it lacks the golden guard hairs common in other members of the genus. It is shy and tends to flee rather than fight, though captured animals can be very fierce. Its forearm is approximately 33.7 mm, its tail 40.6 mm, its hind foot 7.7 mm and its ears 13.8 mm.
