Peyton's myotis, or Peyton's whiskered bat, is a vesper bat endemic to India, restricted to peninsular India from the vicinity of Vishakhapatnam west to the Karnataka coast and as far south as inland Tamil Nadu. It has also been recorded in Bangladesh, about 2,000 km north of its previously known range (Wikipedia, general species account).

It is thought to inhabit lowland tropical forest. In 1913 individuals were recorded swarming among the rocky crevices of Jog Falls, which is also the type locality. The cached account gives no description, measurements, diet or breeding information (Wikipedia, general species account).
