The Sunda stink badger, also called the Javan stink badger, teledu, Malay badger or Sunda skunk, is native to Indonesia and Malaysia. Despite the name, stink badgers are not closely related to true badgers but are Old World relatives of the skunks. It has a badger-like body shape but is significantly smaller, 37–52 cm in total length and 1.3–3.6 kg in weight (Wikipedia, general species account).

Its local name sigung in Sundanese is a false cognate of the word skunk, which is of Algonquian origin (Wikipedia, general species account).
