About this species

Range
Southern and central China and northernmost Vietnam

The dwarf musk deer, or Chinese forest musk deer, is an artiodactyl native to southern and central China and northernmost Vietnam. The species name honours the collector Mikhail Mikhailovich Berezovsky. Four subspecies are recognised, including M. b. caobangis, described from Cao Bang in northern Vietnam (Wikipedia, general species account).

The cached account is brief and gives no description, habitat, diet or breeding information. China placed the species on its national endangered species list in 1976.
